These are the guidelines currently in place for the conduct of examinations at CMI. Please make a note of them.

• Students can only have writing implements and a water bottle with them when writing the exam. In particular, no cellphones or other forms of electronic equipment are allowed.
• Students are not allowed to carry the additional sheets provided during the exam while leaving the the exam hall. All extra exam sheets should be returned to the invigilator.
• Instructors who wish to have open book exams will have to inform Ms Rajeshwari Nair in advance and make special arrangements so that such exams are held in a separate room, to avoid confusion.
• Use of the toilet will be restricted. A physical "token" will be kept and only one student may leave the room at a time, in possession of the token.
• Instructors/invigilators can expel students from the exam room for violation of the exam rules.
• Instructors are empowered to fail students for cheating.
• Examination booklets, extra sheets, attendance sheet, thread and the toilet pass will be avaialable in the Admn Office (instructors should take only the required number of examination booklets). The attendance sheet should be submitted to the office.
