Using Moodle

What can you do with Moodle?

Moodle allows instructors to manage their course material. Moodle can be used to send emails, put up notes and other course material, post and submit assignments, display marks, …

Logging in to Moodle

  • Your login id for moodle is same as the CMI login id.
  • To obtain your password, click on the link "Forgotten your username or password?". This will take you to a page with two entry fields. Enter your login ID under "Username" field and click search. Leave "Email address" blank. Moodle will generate a new password and send you an email with further instructions.
  • Log in to Moodle using the new password.
  • Change the password. Moodle passwords require at least one each of upper case and lower case letters, numbers and special characters. For security reasons, please do not use your main CMI password (the one that you use for ssh to access.cmi.ac.in or for checking CMI webmail) since Moodle does not run on an https server.
