The Dr. F.C. Kohli Centre of Excellence was set up at CMI in
December 2020. The Centre aims to promote research and
innovation through a strong visitors' programme, built around
regular thematic events.

BIRS-CMI workshops
The Banff International Research Station (BIRS) for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery is an independent research institute for the mathematical sciences, based in Canada. BIRS hosts research workshops on various themes throughout the year. In September 2022 CMI joined BIRS as an international affiliate. Through this partnership, CMI will host BIRS-CMI workshops from 2024.
Workshop proposals are solicited two years in advance. The call for proposals for workshops in 2026 will open around June, 2024.
