The Workshop

Geometry meets physics through modularity.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers and students from physics, algebraic geometry and number theory. The programme will emphasize accessible interactions across communities, with mini-lecture series and invited talks connecting geometric invariants, BPS states and conformal field theory.

Themes

Vafa–Witten Theory

Gauge theory on four-manifolds, geometric invariants, sheaves, S-duality and modular structures.

BPS State Counting

Strings, branes, black-hole microstates, wall crossing and the modular objects arising from BPS spectra.

Conformal Field Theory

Modular and mock modular phenomena in CFT, including connections with Appell functions and representation theory.
