Applications of machine learning in banking

In this talk, we will take a look at what it takes to build enterprise scale machine learning model development systems, and contrast with point-based model development. We will discuss this area from a banking perspective and delve into couple of use cases in banking domain. In addition, we will look into the challenges in building such systems, some best-practices, and how solutions can be built around the intersection of people, processes and technology.
About the speakers:
Ramesh Babu has a professional experience as business leader that spans over two decades across data science and AI, applied research, Academy, software development in the IT industry, and Startup. He pioneered consulting assignments for the clients, and business partners in Wells Fargo, Infosys, Confluence Consulting, TCS, and Manipal Global. He leads the Digital and Information security team at Wells Fargo and is responsible for the solutioning, and delivering actionable insights, in identity management for fraud detection, cybersecurity for user behavior anomaly detection, virtual assistant for personalized insights, and supports enterprise-wide initiatives. He has a Ph.D and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engg from IIT-Bombay, and B.Engg in Computer Science and Engg from Jadavpur University, Kolkatta. He has over a dozen international publications, 10 patents pending, and has taken over a dozen external certifications in Data Science and AI, and Design Thinking.
Rajesh Anantharaman is responsible for driving projects and initiatives in Digital Customer Experience and Virtual Assistant within Enterprise Analytics and Data Science (India) group in Wells Fargo. Rajesh has been in the analytics/data science space across the Ecommerce, Retail/CPG and Pharma sectors for over 16 years.
