Quantitative Diophantine approximation for generic ternary diagonal forms

In this talk, I will discuss the problem of finding ‘small’ solutions to Diophantine inequalities involving diagonal ternary quadratic forms. We study this problem on average over a one-parameter family of forms. Building on work by Bourgain and Schindler, I will present new results examining this problem over the primes, as well as a generalisation to inhomogeneous forms. This is joint work with Anish Ghosh.
