Abstract

Percolation, or more precisely, first passage percolation is a probabilistic model for studying fluid flow. The traditional geometric background is Euclidean. We shall describe joint work with Riddhipratim Basu exploring first passage percolation on a hyperbolic space. As a consequence we develop a framework for "Random Hyperbolic Geometry".
