Abstract

Current poet-in-residence at CMI, Cindy Lynn Brown, will talk about her work method and her previous books, she will touch topics such as insomnia and sleep, information and instructions overload and power relations in conversation. During the talk she will read her poetry and answer questions from the audience.

Cindy Lynn Brown is a Danish/American poet, novelist and literary translator with a degree in literature and creative writing. She has published ten books, a few them collaborations. She is translated into multiple languages and has performed at festivals throughout the world. She is also the organizer of an international poetry festival in the city of Odense, in Denmark. Cindy has experience with and a strong, particular interest in poetic and artistic collaborations and is currently working on a collaborative collection of poetry about refugees with her partner, poet Kenneth Krabat. Her latest collaboration A to B-Z to Fish, 2019 was translated into 13 languages.
