What is thinking in mathematics and computer science ?

Abstract

Philosophers have been interested in thought for millennia, scientists also because thinking is their daily activity (when they do not write a project asking funds). Some philosophers and scientists were also curious to better understand how they thought. We will use the reflections of some unusual thinkers like Husserl, Hadamard, Feynmann, Einstein, Poincaré, Rousseau to approach the thought in general and that of the audience in particular.

In the second part of the talk, we will apply the following notions to mathematics and computerscience: understand, feel, memorize, solve, have new ideas,…Finally, we will dare to propose ways to think even better.
