Holographic dual to charged SYK from 3D Gravity and Chern-Simons

I will start by introducing the SYK model and its generalization to complex fermions. We have obtained a bulk dual to SYK model with U(1) charge, via a Kaluza-Klein (KK) reduction from three dimensions. I will discuss how the KK reduction of the 3D Einstein action added to U(1) Chern-Simons (CS) along with appropriate boundary terms and a coupling between CS and gravity leads to a near AdS2 bulk dual of the soft sector of the charged SYK model.
