Abstract

We will look at the proofs of two of the most fundamental results in K theory of C* algebras, the Bott Periodcity and the Pimsner Voiculescu sequence. These proofs will use the machinery of quasi homomorphisms which will help us in getting the inverses for various K theoretic maps. Besides, we will also look at a small application of the Pimsner Voiculescu sequence while deriving the K groups of the rotation Algebras.
