Abstract

Although credit scoring and credit history reporting have been established practice for several decades, lending in the subprime sector has been a more recent phenomenon. This is principally due to the difficulty in discerning good customer quality among customers with a bad credit history and thin files. This talk will cover some of the basics of credit scoring and lending with a focus on the practical aspects and challenges of lending in the subprime sector.

Dr. Nallan Suresh is the VP of Analytics at Global Analytics which is one of the top lenders in the digital lending space in the UK, with offices in India (Chennai, Noida and Gurgaon), UK and USA. Dr. Suresh did his BTech from IITM, MS from Cornell and PhD from Michigan.
