Abstract

SLE was developed by O. Schramm, W. Werner and co-authors starting from 2000 to study the scaling limits of various 2- dimensional discrete models in statistical physics. The theory uses an elegant mixture of complex analysis and stochastic analysis. Indeed, in the recent past, it has been proved to arise as scaling limit of models like loop-erased random walk (SLE2), percolation exploration (SLE6) and many others. This talk intends to give a gentle introduction to the subject.
