Prof. Sujatha Ramdorai, TIFR, Mumbai, will be giving a series of lectures. The first two lectures are on March 21, and March 23 at 3:30 p.m. in the Seminar Hall. Other lectures will be announced later.

Abstract:
This series of lectures will focus on some arithmetic aspects of the theory of elliptic curves. Our broad aim will be to lead the course towards the statement of the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture, with the exact formulae predicted by the conjecture.
