2.00 p.m. Fluids with color: Lagrangians, solitons and color coherence V.P. Nair New York University, U.S.A. 31-01-11 Abstract A Lagrangian description of fluids which carry color, which can have applications to the quark-gluon plasma, is developed. It involves a fluid generalization of the Kirillov-Kostant form well known in Lie group theory. We also discuss the possibility of color solitons and indicate a possible theorem on the stability of coherent color charge distributions.
