Abstract

In terms of metaphors, since our infancy we looked at the twinkly little stars and wondered what we are. As adults, it would be nice to reflect on the vast darkness of the night sky while keeping intact the awe one felt for the stars. In astrophysics, people have conjectured about the dark matter. The metaphoric analogue in algebraic geometry are the varieties of general type. So we invite everyone to join us in the quest to explore places in the universe where no man has gone before.
