Abstract

This talk will give a gentle introduction to Risk, as it relates to Economics and Finance. We will also talk about the importance of models for Risk assessment.

About the speaker: Prof Nanisetty has a B. Stat from ISI and a Ph.D from University of Michigan. Previously he was CRO at Artio Global/Julius Baer, head of Risk & Quant at Prudential Asset Management and head of Model & Market Risk at Nomura. He has also taught at Indiana University, Leihgh University and Stetson.
