Abstract

We will begin with Numerical semigroup rings, the simplest and the first case of semigroups, and outline some questions still unresolved in that situation. Then we will continue with both affine semigroups. Whereas, two numerical semigroups can always be glued, there are strict requirements on affine semigroups to ensure the existence of a gluing. However, it is surprisingly better in the homogenous case or what may be called doubly homogenous semigroup algebras
