Influence Phase of a de Sitter Observer

Abstract

I will talk about our recently published (arXiv:2309.07290) and currently ongoing work on dS holography from the perspective of a local observer. We propose a geometric setup that allows us to compute an action that describes the open system of the observer interacting with various bulk fields. This action encodes the physics of radiation reaction as well as the thermal Hawking noise due to the cosmological horizon as experienced by the observer. I will also illustrate, using our methods, how one can obtain the cosmological corrections to the Abraham-Lorentz-Dirac self-force.
