Abstract

We hear about the problems of pollution, drinking water, public transport, and others in the area of sustainability. Addressing these problems is going to drive research and jobs. In our talk, we will see what is needed to tackle these in real life - what data, models and AI can be made to work at scale. We look at two sectors - agriculture and transport in detail. We show that higher education institutions can play an important role in both, working with the community, and also training students for such jobs.
