Abstract

In this talk, we'll begin by studying knots and their invariants, particularly Khovanov homology. Following which we'll discuss a new obstruction for positivity of links coming from Khovanov homology. More concretely, the first Khovanov homology for positive links is supported in a single quantum grading. This is joint work with M. Kegel, L. Mousseau and M. Silvero.
