Physics Seminar Date: Thursday, 23 November 2023 Time: 11:45 AM Venue: Lecture Hall 202 Time Entanglement and Pseudo Entropy Hitesh Saini Chennai Mathematical Institute. 23-11-23 Abstract This talk is based on the paper arxiv: 2303.01307. In this talk, I will present the aspects of the time evolution operator regarded as a density operator and associated entanglement-like structures in simple quantum systems. These involve timelike separations and generically lead to complex-valued entropy. Then I’ll discuss relations with reduced transition- matrices and pseudo entropy. For instance, a related quantity involves the time evolution operator along with a projection onto some initial state, which amounts to analysing pseudo-entropy for the initial state and its time-evolved final state. Then I’ll talk about special examples of time-dependent interactions and the corresponding time entanglement structures.
