Abstract

The ubiquitous Perron-Frobenius Theorem provides a characterization of the eigenvectors and eigenvalues of certain type of matrices with non-negative entries. The purpose of this talk is to provide a proof of this classical theorem. If time permits, we will try to discuss some applications of it. We will prove the general version of this theorem which is due to Frobenius.
