Abstract

How can getting the opinion of a tiny fraction of voters reveals anything about election outcomes in a country as large and as diverse as India? We will discuss this and issues involved in psephology, with focus on the Indian context. I will also share my experiences for over 20 years (along with views on applications of statistics to real world questions).
