Abstract

$\infty$-categories may be viewed as an appropriate framework for homotopy theory that helps keep track of higher homotopical data. This talk would be a survey of some elementary results in $\infty$-category theory viewed through the lens of the Nerve-Realisation adjunction. Time permitting, we will introduce the notion of an \infty$-preorder and outline one of the problems being studied as part of the thesis.
