Abstract

In this talk, I shall be presenting some recently obtainedresults on the Picardgroup of compact locally Hermitian symmetric spaces of real rank at least 2. Using these results I shall explain the Picard group of total spaces of some fibre bundles with generalised flag varieties as fibres and compact locally Hermitian symmetric Spaces as base. We have been able to answer for all classical types:AIII, BDI, DIII, CI, where as for the exceptional type EIII it is work in progress.
