Abstract

I will give a general introduction to the field of discrete and computational geometry, starting with some classical structures (arrangements, Delaunay triangulations and Voronoi diagrams) and continuing with some recent developments relying on algebraic and topological methods. The talk will not assume any prior knowledge.
