Abstract

In this work (joint with K. V. Subrahmanyam), we consider the problem of determining tensor product multiplicities for the symmetric group G. Given two irreducible G-modules V and W, the problem is to compute the multiplicity of a given irreducible G-module inside the tensor product of V and W. A solution to this problem is known in some special cases. We revisit one of these special cases via a geometric approach.
