Winter School for Bhutanese Mathematicians

January 25–February 5, 2016

CMI is hosting a winter school for the mathematics teachers at the Sherbutse college of the Royal University of Bhutan. The aim of this program is to help the teachers plan and teach courses in higher Mathematics back in their college. In the present session we plan to cover topics in Complex Analysis and Topology. The organiser of the program is Prof. Michel Waldschmidt of Université Pierre et Marie Curie. His visit to India is supported by the IRSES moduli, action Marie Curie FP7-PEOPLE. The participants from Bhutan are being funded under Project Tied Assistance (PTA) for capacity building of university faculty (soft component development), a government of India initiative for the Royal University of Bhutan. The local organisers are Dr. Priyavrat Deshpande and Dr. Vijay Ravikumar, members of faculty at CMI.
