Applying

The deadline for applications expired on Sunday 11th December 2016. However, we will consider late applications if there is a possibility of accommodating them.

Please send an email to expressing your interest in attending this workshop. If you are a student (undergraduate/Masters/PhD), please provide us with the following information:

• A brief CV (not more than two pages) with your academic information beginning with under-graduate education and list of publications (if applicable)
• A brief write-up (not more than a page) of your research interests and why you are applying for this workshop.

  These documents (preferably merged into one single document) should be in Plain Text or PDF formats.

  Additionally, please ask someone who knows you academically (e.g., one of your teachers, your PhD supervisor etc.) to email us a letter of reference supporting your application at the email address given above. This email should come directly from the referee.

(The above are required for students, and are recommended for anyone else who thinks that this might affect their application positively.)

Please note:

• We will not provide accommodation for participants from Chennai.
• We have a limited number (10-12) of spots open for participants from outside Chennai.
• Participants are expected to have a working knowledge of divisors on algebraic varieties and coherent cohomology. During the first week, the discussion of these topics will essentially be a review, and not an introduction.
