Classical Mechanics 1 (B.Sc. Autumn (Sep-Dec) 2021) Course Webpage

This is a first course in classical mechanics for first year (Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science) B.Sc. students

The course is scheduled to meet from 11:50 am to 13:05 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lectures will be conducted online via zoom.

Depending on availability of time, the course will aim to address some aspects of Vectors, polar coordinates and kinematics, Galileo's principle of relativity, Newton's laws, forces, momentum, energy, work, angular momentum, conserved quantities, collisions, motion in one dimension, small oscillations, Kepler's laws of planetary motion, motion in accelerating frames and special relativity.
