A tale of universality in planar random growth
Systems exhibiting stochastic growth are ubiquitous in nature. I shall describe a class of planar random growth models that are believed to, at large scales, share the same universal characteristics observed in many naturally occurring systems, and sketch, in parts, an ongoing study of the fascinating mathematics that is being developed over the last few decades to further the rigorous understanding of such models.
