Abstract

Dr Ajit will talk about research work he has been involved with at the Madras Medical Mission for over 20 years. He has been the primary investigator for various clinical trials such as EXTRACT TIMI-25, OLYMPIA-TAXUS REGISTRY, OSIMA TRIAL and many more. He is the founder member STEMI-INDIA and has been involved with a number of initiatives on cardiac care in Tamil Nadu and in other states in India.

Dr Ajit hopes that this talk will inspire some collaboration between CMI and his team at MMM.

About the speaker:

Dr Mullasari Ajit (DNB(Card), FRCP, FNB(Card)) is the Director, Cardiology, Madras Medical Mission. He has been with MMM for about 20 years. He has been a visiting Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is the international co-ordinator in India for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow. He has numerous awards to his credit including the Dr Swan Granz Memorial Oration 2015 at the 10th world Congress on Clinical Preventive Cardiology and Imaging, the 2011 Lifetime achievement award of the Dr MGR Medical University and the Dr Rama Varma award 2015.
