Abstract

The bi-crossed product associates to a matched pair of groups a non-trivial quantum group. I will explain the construction of bi-crossed product for a matched pair of a discrete group and a compact group and then study property T and Haagerup property for the bi-crossed product. This is a joint work with Issan Patri and Kunal Mukherjee.
