Abstract

All art begins in simplicity, grows complex and then attempts to regain simplicity through the practitioner's understanding and mastery.

The CMI '08 Seminar on OUTSOURCING LITERATURE is aimed at understanding the processes through which works of Literature are transformed when adopted by different media. Literature has been used extensively by various independent art forms such as dance, drama, music, cinema and even painting and journalism.

The purpose of the Seminar is to try to understand the transformation of the original work as well as the role played by the host medium.
