Interesting stuff for cmi-ites

Getting too many sys-admin mails saying your taking too much space on server????

Heres an easy to use backup system that compresses your work and sends it to a mail id. (It also does a lot of checking to make sure you don't lose any work and also saves a compressed copy in ~/Backup). Download! (make sure u change the line that says <your-email-id> before use)

Frightened to type your password in a http_proxy for using wget or other command line programs?

Heres a small script that when put in your path you can call like:
safexec wget ...
And then you can type your password without anybody seeing! Also it will not store your password to http_proxy permanently. Small but damn useful! Download!

Probably the most useful creation! Install deb files locally!

Lots of guys at CMI ask me how to install deb files. This is a script that not only allows you to install but also enables you to easily uninstall them! Check this out! Meanwhile you can also use the locally installed programs from ~arnold/.local/bin. I'll put up more information shortly.

Time to crack TypeSpeed

Well, this is how I finally reached onto typespeed highscores at CMI. You can easily reach 3000 with this (although I'd suggest stopping at 800 - above 900 you're labelled as Computer, 800-900 you're *GOD* - kinda more glamourous). Download!
