Verification of the Thomas-Fermi Equation:
During my computational physics course, I did a project to verify the solutions to Thomas-
Fermi equation under Prof. Ronojoy Adhikari of Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc),
Chennai. I used finite difference method in GNU Octave to find out the numerical solutions
and matched them with the already obtained solutions of V. Bush and S. H. Caldwell, Phys.Rev.
38,1898 (1931).

Analysis of vacancy like defects in single crystal silicon
implanted with Hydrogen using Coincidence Doppler Broadening Measurements :
In the summer of 2008, I worked under the guidance of Dr. R. Rajaraman in the
Metal Physics Section of the Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam.
During that time, I analysed the differences that arose between a pure and an irradiated
silicon crystal. The irradiation was done using an accelerator to generate hydrogen ions
of high energy which were then implanted to a certain depth in the crystals.
