Abstract

The goal of this minicourse is to present some applications of Floer theory to symplectic topology. I intend to spend some decent amount of time on the analysis involved in the construction of Floer homology. The applications that I will present mainly concern Hamiltonian dynamics : existence of periodic orbits and of leafwise intersection points of Hamiltonian flows and of Reeb flows. The course will build from scratch and is intended for a wide audience.
