An invitation to real-time physics in the AdS/CFT correspondence

Abstract

The AdS/CFT correspondence has provided a first principles approach to understanding time-dependent physics in strongly coupled QFTs. After a brief introduction to the correspondence itself, I will discuss in detail one particular problem where the application of the correspondence has proven to be extremely useful: the propagation of entanglement after a quantum quench.
