Abstract

Jeremy Tiang will be reading from his work at CMI this Friday.

About the speaker:

Jeremy Tiang is a Singaporean writer and translator. He trained as an actor at Drama Centre London after reading English at Oxford. His plays have been performed in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, and he has also had readings at New York Theatre Workshop and Pan Asian Repertory Theatre. Jeremy's short stories have appeared in Litro, Esquire, Ambit, Meanjin, the Istanbul Review and Quarterly Literary Review Singapore, as well as winning Singapore's Golden Point Award. He has translated five books from Chinese, and was recently awarded a PEN/ Heim Translation Grant.

Jeremy is currently in residency at CMI and will be here till the end of this month. He is a recipient of the CMI Arts Initiative residency fellowship, which was launched by CMI in association with Sangam House, Bangalore.
