Abstract

We construct a moduli of parabolic bundles on smooth projective algebraic surfaces analogous to the Maruyama-Gieseker compactification. We also obtain a canonical morphism from this moduli space to the Donaldson-Uhlenbeck compactification of parabolic stable bundles.
