Abstract

The transition from Classical to Quantum world. All of us are aware that classical physics is inadequate to understand microscopic phenomena. It has to be replaced by quantum mechanics. In doing so , the description of dynamics has altered dramatically . One may ask 1) Experimental facts that made this necessary. 2) The mathematical structure of QM is different from CM and has further reaching experimental consequences. 3) In contrast to the precision and rigidity of the mathematical structure , interpretation of quantum mechanics is fluid. 4) Philosophical implications Some aspects of the above will be presented
