Hostel and Mess

We expect all the students to stay in the hostel.

The hostel is a single building with a separate wing for girls.

Two students share a room. A cot (6.3'x3.3'), table, chair and cupboard space is
provided per student. However, you will have to arrange for mattress, sheets,
pillow, bucket, mug, locks for the cupboard/room etc.

Washing machines are installed in the hostel which is managed by the students.

Security guards are posted in the campus round the clock, including women
security guard for the girls wing.

A vehicle is parked in the campus at night for emergencies.

Wi-fi facility is available.

On the re-opening day of each semester the students are required to bring a
demand draft for Rs 15,160/-,
(Rs.4,000/-, Rs.8,760 and Rs. 2,400/- towards hostel fees, mess charges
and establishment charges respectively).
Please note that this is mandatory and should be followed every
semester.
Late payments will attract a fine of 1% per day.

During the summer (May, June & July) vacation the students have to vacate the rooms
by neatly packing all their belongings and keeping it in the store-room.
They are not to leave anything valuable behind. The cupboard and room should
be left unlocked.
Whenever students go out of town they should tag their room key with their
room number and hand it over to the Estate Manager, Mr. Vincent/Security.
We do not want the students to take the hostel room keys with them.

The caution deposit of students leaving the institute will be sent by
cheque to their homes, post convocation, after making sure that there
are no dues. Please leave instructions with the office giving the name of
the person on whose name the cheque has to be drawn and the postal address.
Mess Facility

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided in the mess.

The timings are:

Tea, coffee and snacks are available between meal times on spot payment.

There is no break during the semester. Mess money will not be refunded
if the student goes home during the semester. However, absence from the
hostel for academic reasons, sanctioned by the CMI will be taken into
account.
